Hawkeye is currently not in service???

Ok now I’ve heard it all, Saturday Night, 9/7/13 about 8:08 PM we (the city) had a 3 car (flip-over) accident at Blackman & S Main, Kids involved.

Scanner Chatter:

• Officer: Hawkeye check the tape.

• Response: Hawkeye is not in service.

When is it?, should have been the Officers response.
