How did Leo get an account?

The Citizens Voice is reporting that former city contracted tower Leo Glodzik III, owner of LAG Towing, has a checking account at the (non-related) Wilkes-Barre City Employees Federal Credit Union, that like City Hall, and WBPD, is under Federal Investigation.

Of course the King is saying, he’s clueless, and the credit union, isn’t related to the city at all, even though it’s employees, board members, and likely dishwasher, are either city employees, spouses of city employees, or former city employees, spouses. It’s hard to keep track.

But the important question is, how did Leo get an account at all, with a credit union whose members are employees, or family members of employees of the City.

  • Leo was ONLY a contractor, NOT en employee.
  • What's next was he on the city's health care, or getting FREE GAS also?

Leo also issued a warning to The Citizens Voice "I'd be careful with what you write. I know none of my titles are involved," Glodzik said Friday after a reporter told him federal agents were looking at officers, loans and him. "That's all rumors. I guarantee none of my titles are there. Not a one."

Well of course the credit union doesn’t have one single title Leo, that’s why their loans are under investigation.

Was DA Salavantis at the Chief's Drunken Bash?

For those of you who didn't know, every year following the Saint Patrick's Day Parade, our Thief of Police, Duh-Soye takes a small group of elite guests back to Wilkes Barre Police Department Head Quarters for drinks from his private stash, behind the closed door, of the Chief's Office.

Likely the same group he takes downstairs weekly to the shooting range for target practice, with city purchased ammo, while at the same time, telling our officers they have to supply their own ammo for target practice.

What is most concerning this year is not the annual drunken bash inside WBPD, but what several sources (who asked not to be identified, for fear of retribution) from inside WBPD are telling Wake Up Wilkes Barre, and that is that our Childlike District Attorney Stefanie J. Salavantis may have been in attendance this year! As a her car was allegedly spotted parked outside!

Questions:

  • Did anyone card the Child D.A.?
  • If impairment begins with the first drink, who drove them home?
  • Is it OK for a D.A. who's investigating this city, to be kicking back cold ones with the Thief of Police?
Wake Up Wilkes Barre was contacted today by federal authorities who investigated the above allegations and stated that, District Attorney Stefanie J. Salavantis was NOT in attendance, NOR was anyone from her office!

Doesn’t answer the questions, he slanders the citizens

When Jerry Lynott – Reporter for the Times Leader Newspaper, questioned Mayor Thomas Leighton about issues raised by private citizens Bob Kadluboski and Frank Sorick, at Thursday night's city council meeting, regarding Leighton being the SOLE appraiser for The Wilkes-Barre City Employees Federal Credit Union.

A credit union that serves employees of Wilkes-Barre City, Wilkes-Barre Township and Plains Township and their families. Leighton didn’t answer the reporter’s questions, but instead resorted to name calling: “You’re listening to a bunch of goofs,” Leighton said.

Goofy as Bob and Frank might be at times, their RIGHT!

“If we’re so goofy why are federal officials handing out subpoenas,” Kadluboski said.

Resorting to name-calling:

This is not the first time this tactic has been employed by the King & Co. You may recall this past April when, now former city tower, Leo Glodzik, owner of LAG (Cars 4 Ca$h) Towing, stood at city council, chastising Frank Sorick,  Bob Kadluboski, and Karen Ceppa-Hirko because they had the audacity to question His Lordship.

Conflict of interest:

It also looks as though the Wilkes Barre City Taxpayers Association is filing a complaint with The Pennsylvania State Board of Certified Real Estate Appraisers, and I urge everyone reading to click the link below, and do the same.

According to the Pennsylvania § 36.281. Standards of Professional Conduct, a Conflict of interest occurs when:

Conflict of interest—A situation in which a certified Pennsylvania evaluator uses the certified Pennsylvania evaluator’s employment or confidential information received through the course of the employment for the private pecuniary benefit of the certified Pennsylvania evaluator, a member of the certified Pennsylvania evaluator’s immediate family, or a business with which the certified Pennsylvania evaluator or a member of the certified Pennsylvania evaluator’s immediate family is associated.

Also Appraisers may NOT:

Certified Pennsylvania evaluators may not perform assessment and appraisal-related assignments that could reasonably be construed as being in conflict with their responsibilities to their jurisdictions, employers or clients, in which they have unrevealed personal interests or biases, or that they are not qualified to perform.

Dominick P. Pannunzio. The attorney for The Wilkes-Barre City Employees Federal Credit Union, added that Leighton does appraisals for other credit unions.

  • Well then Mr. Pannunzio, I submit these questions:
  • Do all of Leighton's Friends, Coworkers, & Family bank at those other credit unions?
  • How many appraisals for those other credit unions involve appraisals for Leighton's Friends, Coworkers, & Family?

I'm going out on a limb here, and guessing NONE!!!!

Remember folks, "When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser."

Appraising for Friends & Family, Not A Conflict?

King Lia-A-Ton told the Citizens Voice that he does appraisels for The Wilkes-Barre City Employees Federal Credit Union, that serves employees of Wilkes-Barre, Wilkes-Barre Township and Plains Township and their families.

"I don't do many. It's very few," Leighton said.

The mayor said his firm has done business with the credit union for 25 years and it's just like doing business with any other financial institution.

"There is no conflict," Leighton said.

  • Ya it’s just like doing business with any other financial institution, who’s sold client base is my friends, coworkers, and family!!!

  • Now I ask you, if your coworker, buddies, or family members wanted a better deal or higher value so they might get a bigger loan to value, is it conceivable that a friend, coworker, or family member might be more flexible on their determination of value?

FBI now on Gas-Gate

Due to the total incompetence of the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office, failing miserably at sweeping Gas-Gate under the rug, now the Federal Bureau of Investigations, are being tasked with the assignment.

For those of you indigenous to this corrupt valley, Wake Up Wilkes Barre offers,

Investigations 101; Investigations Made Easy:

  • The King and Co. took gas when they knew via the 2007, and 2009 Department of Revenue fines that this was NOT allowed…..
  • King Admitted to Gas Pilfering in the press several times…..
  • Photo of King pilfering gas exists……
  • Several current and former city employees have testified to seeing King & Co. pilfer gas……
  • DEP Boss had portable gas tank in back of truck, where is it now, and why did he have it???????
Photo of Ken Pahler's former truck being repaired at DPW
  • Slam Dunk??????????

If someone filled up at Turkey Hill, and drove off, what would happen to them, with MUCH less evidence?

The Citizens Voice reported: "Mayor Tom Leighton, on behalf of the City of Wilkes-Barre, will fully cooperate with any law enforcement and regulatory agency who is conducting any investigation as we have always done in the past," Wilkes-Barre spokeswoman Liza Prokop said in an emailed statement.

YET: First Assistant District Attorney Sam Sanguedolce said. "We have encountered great difficulty in obtaining certain information with respect to the Wilkes-Barre gas investigation."

  • So if the King is fully cooperating with any law enforcement then why in the world would Sanguedolce encountered great difficulty in obtaining certain information?

Part-Time King / Full-Time Realtor?

For those who didn’t know, former Wilkes Barre City Administrator, J.J. ($300 per Hr. Consultant Scammer) Murphy, was suing Radnor Township, for not hiring him. After all his (at the time) congressman-brother, Patrick Murphy, did call Radnor Township, and ask them nicely to hire his little brother. Wink, Wink…

Sad news for J.J., the jury was wise. He LOST!

But the most interesting part of the trial (for Wilkes Barre anyway) came about as J.J. provided sworn testimony.

The issue was also raised as to how much of a role Murphy played in fixing the problems of the City of Wilkes-Barre as opposed to what the elected mayor did.

Murphy said in testimony Tuesday that the mayor worked about three hours a day because he had a full time real estate business.
  • Ok we (the good honest Wilkes Barre folk) have known this fact for years, I’ve personally witnessed it, as did my wife, one weekday afternoon, in Hanover Twp. as the King tooled up to show our friend a listing, (when he should have been at city hall), but for J.J. Murphy to actually make it public record… WOW!

So now I wonder: If the King only works “three hours a day because he had a full time real estate business.”

  • Why would he need FREE city gas?
  • Or is he even deserving of said gas, only working “three hours a day”?

J.J. did try to clean up his statements in the cross examination on Wednesday,

Murphy, when asked about his statement on the mayors work habits, he said he meant that the mayor worked three hours a day in City Hall and then went out and conducted city business such as cutting ribbons.

  • Ribbon Cuttings???? WHAT???, How often do those come about in Wilkes Barre, but lets give J.J. the benefit of the doubt on this one, and say when and if they did pop up (when J.J. was still with the city), thinking back though, J.J. was there whenever cameras were rolling!!!

Gas-Gate on National News - DA Hiding

For those of you (District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis) who thought Gas-Gate would go quietly under the rug,
  • Think Again!

Wilkes-Barre Crime Watch Coalition President Charlotte Raup has asked Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane to look into why the DA Salavantis is dragging her feet.

  • In all fairness perhaps the DA isn’t dragging her feet, but simply tripping over the Gas-Gate lump in her rug.

Either way Raup told the Attorney General “The citizens of Wilkes-Barre would like to let you know that corruption did not stop in Luzerne County; It is alive and well,”

With Luzerne County already in the national spotlight with the premier of Kids for Cash Movie, one has to wonder why our child DA would sit on her hands for nearly TWO YEARS?

Salavantis didn’t return messages seeing comment. A woman who answered the phone in her office Monday referred calls to Wilkes-Barre officials.

  • You’re kidding me RIGHT?

Let’s see someone swipes something, (for arguments sake let’s say its 18,000 gallons of gas) the DA begins an investigation, and anyone who wants an update on said investigation should ask the alleged thief???
