Gas Gate not under rug just yet

As much as The King would like us to “Believe” that this investigation has no merit or is being swept under the rug, it would seem that it continues. Now there are those out there (and you know who you are) who truly believe that nothing will come of Gas Gate, and that the District Attorney Salavantis is just stalling, because she is inexperienced, overwhelmed, or just plain clueless, but I ask you to consider a few things for a second.

It takes no time at all to sweep something under the rug, and if that were the case wouldn’t she have wanted to do that some 15 months ago?

I only ask because she is almost up for reelection and as we approach that election season, will she then want to stall on Gas Gate, or simply sweep it under the rug?

Right when Luzerne County Voters (who usually have the memory of a goldfish) will have it fresh in their minds. I think not, in-fact, this (Gas-Gate) could very well be the pony that carries back across the finish line.

Remember she campaigned on an anti-corruption platform “Musto Must Go” claiming that she knew or should have known about the Kids for Cash scam, and she was likely right then, and we pray she does the right thing now.

If not we do have Santa to blame!

LAG hit with 12K lien

Poor Leo getting even poorer

As reported by the Times Leader “According to paperwork filed Friday in Luzerne County Court, LAG Transport & Recovery, Inc., of 83 Foote Ave., Duryea, was notified of a $12,984 commonwealth lien against the company.”

As if having all your so called friends, (whom you loaned cars to for years on end) turning their backs on you weren't bad enough “our Leo” ( as dubbed by Bob Kadluboski) takes yet another hit. This time by the state.

What’s next for “our Leo”

Well, with the State Police, and FBI allegedly he took $2,100 in bait money from what an undercover state trooper told him was a vehicle seized as part of a drug investigation.

Now this lien.

Oh and don’t forget about the Grand Jury, Joe Holden formerly of WBRE told us about, that’s still ongoing.

My guess is “our Leo” will be moving from his soon to be foreclosed home to the Big House real soon, unless he spills the beans that is.

Top 10 Reasons J.J. didn’t get hired

For those of you who don’t know, our former city administrator, ($300 per hr. do NOTHING consultant) J.J. murphy, is suing a suburban Philadelphia township, for NOT hiring him.

WOW: Imagine suing everyone who didn't hire you! We at Wake Up Wilkes Barre wondered why, Radnor Township passed on poor J.J., and this is what we found.

Top 10 reasons J.J. didn't get the job!

  • 10. The board members couldn't be bought.
  • 9. They saw past King Lie-A-Ton’s embellished recommendation letter.
  • 8. They spoke to any lifelong resident of Wilkes Barre as a character reference for J.J.
  • 7. They could smell a weasel a mile away
  • 5. They couldn't afford $300 per hr. for a do nothing consultant.
  • 4. Then-U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy (D., Pa.), called one board member before John Murphy's interview, they asked, he told!
  • 3. They read Wake Up Wilkes Barre.
  • 2. Hawkeye (enough said)!!!
  • And the # 1. Reason:  They found out the truth about you J.J.

In its response, Radnor Township denies any violations of federal law occurred. The township says Murphy was in the “second tier” of candidates and not deemed qualified for a second interview.

  • IMAGINE, J.J. “not deemed qualified”, we’ve know that for years.

The township alleges that board members felt Murphy might have embellished his record in Wilkes-Barre. It also argues that when Murphy's brother, then-U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy (D., Pa.), called one board member before John Murphy's interview, it left some members with a negative impression.

  • J.J.” embellished his record in Wilkes-Barre”, so, I wonder if he told them Hawkeye actually worked?
Newsflash for you J.J., your a lying weasel who sucks the taxpayers dry, and honest folks can smell that bull a mile away.
